Overview

As a heavily forested satelite town, Wildwood is known for its long history of missing people.

History

The first disappearance happened on the 5th of June, 1978. The Wildwood Daily published an article about the Lundqvist's disappearance on the 6th of June, 1978. Police searches and local hunts returned empty-handed.

5 June 1978	Chester Lundqvist	8	While on a camping trip with his parents, Lundqvist was reported as missing after wandering from his tent in the night.
15 June 1979	Jane Byrd	18	Recent graduates of East Hollow Point High spent their senior trip at one of the family campgrounds in Wildwood. On the morning of the last day of the trip, Byrd’s friends realised that she did not return to her cabin that night.
18 August 1982	Marshall Lakewood	23	Newly famous singer of the band Kentucky Birds was reported missing the day before their first tour on August 27th. He was last seen on August 18th at a cafe in West Hollow. No one knows if he ever actually ventured out to Wildwood.
2 September 1982	Steven McCain	52	Detectives McCain and Pope were leading the investigation on Marshall Lakewood, following the theory that he had gone missing in Wildwood forest. They were last seen near Wildwood Camp Zone, where the investigation base was set up.

4 October 1982	Nicholas Winstead	22	Winstead, a 22 year old college student and journalist, was obsessed with the case of Marshall Lakewood and ventured out into the forest to look for him in order to get a position at UBN, stating that he’d “rather die than not get the internship”. He was last seen by a ranger on one of the hiking trails at 4:13pm on October 4th.
5 October 1982	Gregory Winstead	27	Winstead, a 27 year old lawyer, followed his younger brother Nicholas to Wildwood with the intentions of accompanying him out of worry. The two never saw each other, and Gregory was last seen by a ranger at 12:27pm on October 5th.
19 May 1987	Melissa Brown	33	Brown, 33, was hiking with two other friends and walked off-trail toward the lake to refill her water. She was last scene by her friends, stating that she “would only be a minute”.
12 July 1988	Jessica Lewis	26	Lewis, 26, was camping with her fiance. She was last seen by him in their tent before they went to sleep at 10pm on July 12th. Her fiance woke up and she was gone.
May 1990	Julien Dawson	25	Dawson was a park ranger for the Greylock camping area of Wildwood. He went out on shift one afternoon and never reported back in the evening.
